#JFL42 2014 Lineup announcement + comedy fest cheat sheet!
Festival season has kicked off, line up announcements were released months ago. But wait! There’s more! Toronto’s JFL42, taking place September 18th -27th, has just announced 6 of their headliners and 35 out of 42 of their must watch acts! **Cheat sheet for comedy nerds at the end of the post.**
This year’s headliners to choose from so far are Seth Meyers, Lena Dunham, Amy Schumer, Wanda Sykes, Joe Rogan, and Nick Offerman.
The 35 acts announced thus far are: Absolute Comedy, AltDOT Comedy Lounge, The Alternative Show hosted by Andy Kindler, Broad City, Brody Stevens, Cameron Esposito, Chelsea Peretti, Chris D’Elia, Comedy Bar & Tru42, DeAnne Smith, Doug Benson, Emily Heller, Ian Karmel, Joe DeRosa, Johnny Pemberton, Kumail Nanjiani, Mantown, Mark Forward, Mike Birbiglia, New Faces of Comedy presented by The GRID, Nikki Glaser, Paul F. There are 7 more acts to be announced and possibly one more headliner (if their 4 headliner package deals is an accurate indicator).
Speaking of deals, this year’s JFL42 festival passes are set up a bit differently, in that you are now capable of getting a $49 pass to just see the 42 acts (2 credits*). Or a headliner pass which allows you see a headliner plus the 42, this pass varies in price based on preferred seating (2, 4, or 6 credits depending on price level). Or a $299 4-headliner package, you choose from 4 packages consisting of a mix of 4 headliners, plus access to the 42 (10 credits).
*Credits work the same as last year: go to a show, check in, get credit back to use again to save your spot for another show. Rinse, repeat.
42 things. 10 days. 1 pass. Tickets on sale Friday at 11am.
