Pantone, “the global authority on colour”, announced yesterday that 15-5519 Turquoise is the winner of the coveted 2010 Colour of the Year title. Pantone says “turquoise transports us to an exciting, tropical paradise while offering a sense of protection and healing in stressful times.”

Turquoise is available as one of Pantone’s eco-friendly paints and even as part of its Wedding Colours catalogue.

Expect to see the green-blue shade everywhere in the New Year.

But if you want some real tropical paradise before then, book a flight to the Caribbean.
