I’ve come across the next wave in rock and roll. If a tree falls down in the forest and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound? The answer is fuck yeah! Check out these guys out because while you weren’t listening to the trees falling, this band has been killing it internationally and bringing back that raw, real sound of rock and roll from the golden days. Don’t be fooled by the great production value and non-hairspray shock rock, the sound of the gritty guitar and true form rock hasn’t been lost on these guys.
Your Favorite Enemies are taking European airwaves by storm with their new hit 1, 2, 3, (One Step Away). Take a listen below soon to come to a radio station in America or near you… I’m so happy that Maxime Lavoie from Hopeful Tragedy Records set me onto them. I was so excited to share their music and videos with you.
What did I tell ya! They are rocking that shit! The single version is different than the videoclip version of the song. PLUS it comes with a digital “B-side” – A live acoustic version of the song that’s 8 minutes long! They just released it last Friday and are well on their way to being the next rock & roll phenom group across Europe, North America and the world. You heard it first said here by the mob. Purchase the single online right here: http://j.mp/
I was just thinking that of all the genres that need to come back full circle is pure rock and roll. Enough of the deconstructed sandwich called hip hop and todays pop music – We’re talking about Freddie Mercury type rock and roll and if you don’t like it, you can suck my kiss!
You may not know this about me, but I’m a head banger when the bass and chorus is right, and their bass and chorus is more than right, YFE will bring out the teen spirit in you. Your Favorite Enemies is the perfect band to reignite your inner mullet.
I’ll be keeping my eye on this group and hopefully catch them next time they’re in town. I missed you in Montreal, but I won’t next time! If you don’t believe me, check out Kerrang! Magazine and their feature on them.
Read more about the band here on Mobtoronto and follow them on social media for updates, upcoming gigs and new releases.
I know I will.
I would love to hear your feedback and comments about them so please engage, post, share, comment and answer this question: Is rock & roll dead or are we letting our future stars slip between our fingers as they break out in Japan and France before they become big in Canada? I’m as curious as a cat and genuinely interested in what you think.
They’ll be doing a live interview this Friday, March 25th at 6pm from their Facebook page answering questions about their new song. If you would like to ask them some questions, this is the perfect time. Go to their Facebook page and ask away! Some of your questions may be chosen for the interview.
Let me know!
